Olika lokal sakrä
Anders Djupsjöbacka, Kim Viitanen (15')
Årets Film 2012 Olika lokal sakrä (Different local things) is an experimental film with a touch of dark humour. The film consists of ten seemingly unrelated episodes from Ostrobothnia, some of which are partially based on true stories. The film is just as the people of the area it depicts, mostly calm and quiet; only the absurdities and sometimes crazy events in the stories break this silence and serenity, just as they break the grey and monotonic everyday-life of the people of the area.
Den gamle och hatet
Johan Stolpe (25')
Årets Film 2011 An old, conservative and lonely man gets a heart attack and is dying. His son soon realizes that the only thing that keeps his father alive is his hatred. In an attempt to keep his father alive, the son tries to build up his fathers hate again by creating and staging different situations that he knows his father will hate. As his hate grows, the old man slowly recovers. Finally the old man finds out that his son has made everything up and that it is all a lie, but he also realizes that he can not live without his hate.
Tobias Ahlgren (10')
2010 Keeny is a dimwitted young man who lives in his own little blissful world. On the evening of his 26th birthday, fate decides to make him intelligent. He sees the world for what it really is and decides to make himself retarded again.
Life on Ice
Daniel Nikander (6')
2010 This eye-opening BBD-documentary reveals the life of the mythical Finns that dwell in the frosty northern wilderness. An epic tale about the inhabitants of the land of a thousand lakes, where rigidity is a necessity in terms of survival.
Jarmo & Jorma
Carolin Koss (17’)
2011 Jarmo & Jorma are bound to each other and share their miserable boring lives in Österbotten, a region in Finland where nothing ever happens. They try half-heartedly to make their lives more exciting and meaningful, but it just results in more trouble and meaninglessness. The desperate seeking for thrills eventually puts the last thing worth living for to the test – their friendship.
Erik Åhman (30’)
The documentary film “Freestyledrömmen” is about the motorcyclist Sebastian Westberg and his way to X-fighters in Madrid summer 2016.
Inga Pohjolainen (19’)
Virva is alienated from society but secretly wishes to find her own people and to belong to a herd. She meets two lost, young men and slowly starts to get to know them. But can she really trust them?
En arg mors bekännelser
Catarina Diehl (6’)
She's afraid of three things: losing her temper, hurting her own kids and turning into her own abusive and violent mother.
Fem över midnatt
Markus Lindstedt (15’)
Two friends wander a post-apocalyptic countryside. While looking for food in an abandoned gas station, they find a stockpile of goods and meet the current resident.
Hur man närmar sig ett stort hål
Sawandi Groskind (20′)
